Trade your Wastes at TriNoma

People can now trade their waste at TriNoma, the newest Ayala mall located at the corner of North Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, in Quezon City.

TriNoma joins the chain of green Ayala Malls as it launches its own Waste Market, where recyclable materials are traded-in for new products.

“Today, we are here to launch the Waste Market Exchange to bridge the gap for a market for recyclables. We are doing this to make waste trading more accessible for the people who would want to recycle – and would want to earn from it.  This, we believe, will encourage more people to practice segregation and recycling,” says Undersecretary Demetrio Ignacio of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Waste Markets are becoming popular venues for people to trade in their scraps for products.  This is to promote the culture of making environmentally-informed decisions through waste reuse, reduction, and recycling, resource recovery, and waste market exchange programs.  This is in support of the mandates of Republic Act 9003, or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.
The TriNoma Waste Market Exchange is a joint project of the Ayala Group of Companies, the National Solid Waste Management Commission (NSWMC) – DENR, and the Philippine Business for the Environment (PBE).
