The monthly environmental forum at Kamayan-EDSA, convened by Clear Communicators for the Environment (CLEAR) and Sanib-Lakas ng Inang Kalikasan (SALIKA) held its 217th session on 28th March 2008 with a big celebration to commemorate its 18th year.

Last night, the Philippines held a “lights-off” hour from 8 to 9pm, to join the Earth Hour campaign against global warming and climate change.
Prior to the event, local news showed the Philippines Earth Hour team, WWF, doing the rounds in the country’s premier cities, even going as far as distributing flyers in malls and other commercial establishments.
Local TV Network, GMA7 (also QTV11) also featured videos on Climate Change and Global Warming to help spread awareness, and hopefully facilitate change in the Filipino way of consuming energy.

Just attended a workshop on Environment Photography, with no less than Dr. Corazon Claudio, President of Earth Institute Asia, and Mr. Bubuy Balangue of Studio 23 as mentors.
It was a great learning experience, a better way to view the environment (and even preserve its beauty, atleast through photographs).
