Isang luntiang pagbati!

A consortium, headed by Kaalagad Katipunang Kristiyano (KAALAGAD), Popular Empowerment for People’s Education (PEPE), Partido Kalikasan and Philippine Greens, is inviting all independent non-violent groups, organizations and individuals to a discussion/ assembly for a formation of a unified “green” political formation.

The Assembly will be held on July 26, 2008, Saturday, 9:00am-4:00pm at the Conspiracy Bar, Visayas Avenue , Quezon City .
Since 2001, various political organizations have been running for the party list or fielding candidates for national and local positions carrying the “environmental agenda” as a platform. But these attempts have been unsuccessful in the national political arena. If we have to form a new political formation, the decision must come from the people.

Please do come if you believe that:

1. It is time for the different groups and sectors espousing non-violence to band together and be heard and recognized amidst this turmoil and oligarchic politics.
2. The existing political system do not provide the people an alternative politics.
3. It is time for the green community to become a political block to push further legislations that will protect our remaining natural resources and uphold environment and social justice.
4. The planet is now in a crucial stage and critical political actions must be taken.
