Raising Babies the Green Way
Too many times we’ve heard (and said) that when we do something for the environment, we are not doing it only for ourselves, but for our children, and the children of our children.
Yes, cliche as it may sound now, but it’s true. And parents nowadays are going green more than ever. Today, mommies do not just shop for a little toy, but they also now read the labels and take in serious consideration if it has lead, or any other chemicals that may be harmful to their kids, most especially their babies.
Here in the Philippines, we feel there, however, that we are lacking in this department — you know, baby stores offering green products, be it strollers, bibs, toys, dresses, feeding bottles… It need not be a particular store in a mall, but something like what BabyEarth has to offer. Say, pulling together different brands, and taking into account eco-friendly products suppliers. That would be neat.
I hope there would be local BabyEarths here… Not only will our babies here be safe, they’d be healthy too, and for sure, they will all grow up being more aware and respectful of our environment.
When it’s my turn to be a mom, I know I would love to do some green, healthy shopping for my baby. I know you would to.
