Biggest Environment Outdoor Gallery

Second Media recently opened the Biggest Outdoor Gallery in Asia. Their first collection — the environment.

The outdoor gallery presented ten masterpieces, each featuring a message for green consciousness, from ten artists, namely Popo San Pascual, Riel Hilario, Eddie Boy Escudero, Jose Terence Ruiz, Mario V. Fernandez, Gari Buenavista, MM Yu, Christina Quisumbing Ramilo, Lotsu Manes, and Tina Fernandez of ArtInformal.

The aim is to use billboards as promotional products, to create awareness on various concerns, starting with “the environment”.

I received an invite from Nuffnang to attend the press launch, I wasnt able to make it (I had to work, we had a few environment events lined up) so I did not have the chance to see all the artworks.

But then, I’ve seen two billboards already. One, along Valenzuela (if you’re coming from Clark going to Manila, you’ll see the one with the red fire hydrant — photo above), and another in Kamuning EDSA (the recycling one).

Environment is a major priority — even the artists and the advertisers think so. Hopefully, motorists would get the message when they see the billboards.
