Still missing official support!
Zurich/Switzerland, Apr. 27, 2009—Visitors to the new7wonders.com website have been suggesting leading cities around the world to become the Official Host for the Declaration of the New7Wonders of Nature event in 2011. Manila is frequently chosen in this poll, yet without official support now it cannot be considered by the organisers.

Kuya Kim was awarded by the DepEd and NCCA’s “Sining Gising” for being an eco-friendly host. He hosts Matanglawin (which is very cool, i love that show!) and is also part of ABS-CBN’s news programs Umagang Kay Ganda and TV Patrol.
Kuya Kim also made a surprise appearance at the SM Mall of Asia last April 22, for the Philippine Earth Day celebration.
Richard Gutierrez was also awarded for having hosted GMA’s Climate Change documentary, Signos.

As Im writing this, a lot of teens and young once are probably rocking their hearts out to some of today’s finest Pinoy bands.
Yes, it’s Earth Day Jam — the local music tribute in celebration of the worldwide Earth Day movement.
If you have time, you may still wanna go and join them at the Tomas Morato Avenue Strip in Quezon City. The show started 7:30 pm, so that’s about 40 minutes ago — and im guessing around 3 – 4 already performed.
Performers include Barbie Almabis, Bembol Rockers, Bloomfields, …

When it rains, it pours…
… and the kids got treated to lots of gifts and activities during the Philippine Earth Day celebration at the SM Mall of Asia. There were loot bags prepared for each children who registered (and there were hundreds!), not to mention some other giveaways on some of the participating booths — like USAID, NAMRIA, RBCO, EMB, POD, NSWMC, Jollibee, PAWB, Haribon, among others.
There were also some celebrities, including Kuya Kim (Matanglawin!), who happens to be the DENR Secretary’s son (being Sec. Atienza)… Tintin Bersola-Babao, who …
