My Kilus Foundation Experience

30 August 2009 No Comment

Have been blogging about Kilus Foundation for years, i think I even have a page dedicated to them (and some other green product manufacturers) but it’s only yesterday that I was able to visit their place.

It was all part of the Environmental Education (Solid Waste Management Program) project of the Almstom Foundation, where Limay school principals, teachers, and students serve as beneficiaries.

Select principals and teachers form part of the Kilus foundation tour, and we were greeted by the lovely Miss Editha Santiago, who presented the Kilus background via video, and then gamely answered questions from the participants. Then we checked the facility (they have bags, slippers, gown, boxes, pillows, book cases, bracelets, curtains, ahhhhhh too many items!) and we even had a glimpse of their “new items” (yet to be marketed). The principals brought bags. I wanted to buy that one yellow bag but was told it was not yet for sale. Awwww..

Anyway, for those interested to visit, the KILUS Multipurpose Environmental Cooperative is over at 36 C. Santos St., Ugong, Pasig City. By the way, be prepared… there’s like heavy traffic there, ala-motorhome towing slow.. cause the streets there are being fixed. Anyway, it’s all worth the wait.
