So here’s a few bits on what’s gonna happen this coming Earth Day celebration.

Kick-off’s gonna be on March 23, in time for the World Water day. The nation’s leading newspapers and broadcast companies will also take part, doing their share to help spread the earth day message to all Filipinos. This year’s theme, as Ive already mention in my previous posts is “Hamon ng Panahon: Climate Change, Sampung Milyong Solusyon (Kilos na! Ngayon na!).

The Philippines will form the 10 Million Movement, a campaign for each of us Pinoys to do something to help mitigate climate change. It could be as simple as turning off that laptop your using after reading this (hehe), or using a glass when brushing your teeth.

There’s an official website for this, and it’s at http://10mmovement.ning.com/. I believe you could register there right now, and share with the rest of the world your commitment to the environment. They’re revising it though, to make it look hip for “our” generation. I had a glimpse and it is cool. globally cool! The Earth day network Philippines will launch it soon so make sure to have your Linksys router ready, so you’d be directed to the ten million movement’s new and improve website.

Anyway, for text savvy people, you could also join through text. Register by texting GREEN (space) REG (space) first name (slash) middle initial (slash) last name (slash) 10 mm and send to 5777. Example: GREEN REG Jane/C/Masipag/10MM then send to 5777.
