Congratulations, Miss Brazil!

Brazil’s Larissa Ramos is this year’s Miss Earth, taking home $20,000, the $100,000-worth crown, and of course, the prestige of traveling the world as ambassadress of Earth and mother nature.

Our candidate, Miss Philippines Sandra Inez Seifert is first runner-up (Miss Air), second is Miss Venezuela Jessica Barboza (Miss Water), and third, Miss Spain Alejandra Echevarria. Just a trivia, Larissa is the second Brazilian to be crowned Miss Earth, the first being Priscilla Meirelles, who has since been a ‘resident’ of the Philippines. Filipinos do love the pretty women of Brazil.

Outgoing Miss Earth is Karla Paula Henry, from the Philippines. She delivered her duties really well, and hopefully, Larissa will do too. It’s really fulfilling to know that more are becoming aware of the need to take good care of our environment, as evidenced by the answers the girls shared in their QnA part. It’s great that more than having the faces and the bodies fit for royalties, they also have beautiful hearts full of passion for mother nature. It’s all about passion, for becoming a steward of the environment is an almost thankless job. It’s not like you work and receipt printers reveal your paycheck. Here, your paycheck is knowing that you have contributed to making sure that the future generation would live in a cleaner world.
