There will be a Recycler’s Bazaar on November 6, 2011 (8am to 12nn) at the Greenhills Shopping Center Parking 1 (fronting the G-Strip Building).
The following ‘recyclable items’ can be sold:
1. Paper such as newspapers, cartons, magazines, notebooks, old books, and phone directories
2. Plastic containers like PET bottles and clean plastic bags (yes, clean!)
3. Aluminum Cans like old soda cans and other beverages
4. Clean Styrofoam (Polystyrene)
5. E-waste: Electrical appliances that are broken or you no longer use, CPUs and monitors, digicams, phones, printers (receipt printer even, maybe?) you get the drift.

Run for Pasig 2011

11202011…
This may look like a binary code or something directly lifted from The Matrix but this is the date for this year’s Run for Pasig — yes, put your running shoes on and be part of the green runners on November 20, 2011!
Aside from the Run for Pasig annuals being total fat burners, the campaign is for the rehabilitation of Pasig River. Talk about having fun, staying fit, and helping the world at the same time!
Last year’s 101010 Run for Pasig attracted 116,086 runners which even earned for the country …

Green Jobs Philippines

The Philippines will be having its first ever Green Jobs Conference on August 15-16, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center. The theme is, “Promoting Green Jobs and Decent Work towards Inclusive Growth.”
These are the topics for the plenary sessions:
1. Employment challenges of climate change, business requisites and the greening of jobs
2. Green business practices and strategies
3. Renewable Energy
4. Solid Waste Management
5. Natural Resource Protection and Management
6. Basic Industries
