September is Ozone Month
Department of Environment and Natural Resources Lito Atienza officially kicks off the Mobile Airconditioning Testing of DENR service vehicles nationwide through the use of a refrigerant identifier. Witnessing the testing of Secretary Atienza’s service vehicle are EMB Director Julian Amador and POD National Coordinator Demetrio Ignacio.
Here are the Ozone Month activities:
September 16: Seminar/Orientation on Refrigerant Handling Regulations and Pilot Retrieval or Recovered Refrigerants for the Reclamation Facility (DENR Social Hall)
September 16-19, 23: Mobile Airconditioning (MAC) Testing and Refrigerant Identification (EMB Central, Regional Offices, FPA Central Office)
September 19: Forum on Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) Alternatives and Natural Refrigerants for Ozone Layer Protection (Sulo Hotel, QC)
September 26: Save the Ozone Layer Fun Run, Atbp. (UP Diliman to Quezon Memorial Circle)
September: Regional Ozone Month Celebrations.
