Plastic Bags to be banned in Quezon City
Mayor Sonny Belmonte recently certified as an urgent bill the banning of the use of plastic bags in stores all over Quezon City.
The bill, authored by Councilor Dorothy Delarmente, seeks to reduce and eventually eliminate the “plastic” wastes that have been clogging the city’s esteros and canals, leading to flooding in the metro.

Go Green with F. de Mesa School
Students and administrators of F. de Mesa School have developed a very creative use for old car tires, styro fruit containers, and plastic bottles.
These “waste-turned resource” are now being used as “pots” for ornamental plants and seedlings, as part of the schools alternative gardening project.
