Plastics: Biodegradable or 100% Recycled?
About three or four years ago, in one of our lecture series in Laguna, a school administrator asked whether claims of plastics (not holters but just the simple plastic bags from malls and shops) being biodegradable are true or not. Green Bins: Drop Your Old Phones and Plastic Bags Here

You probably have seen one of this bins around the metro…
They may not be colored green but they are, in a sense, green bins. The one on the left is a Nokia “We Recycle” Bin I saw at the Heart Center of the Philippines (upon entering the hospital premises, turn left. It’s very, very near the Development Bank of the Philippines branch inside).

Barangays and Segregation

Here are some positive news from the Adopt-an-Estero Program being implemented by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association, the Quezon City Government, and Sagip Ilog Pilipinas Movement:
The barangays traversed by the Diliman Creek (adopted by the Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association with Sagip Ilog Pilipinas Movement and Quezon City Government) have been actively engaged in clean-ups, the result of which had been evident during last month’s typhoon Falcon. Mouse to Robot

This is Robomouse!
A friend of mine posted this on facebook a week ago and thought I’d share it here on my blog. It’s recycling at its coolest, where a couple of old computer mouse (shall I call it mice then?) got transformed into this really “cute” robot (I shall name the robot Arnold Schwazemousie).
Caught my attention and googled robots from old pc mouse and discovered there are a lot of people already into it, some even have tutorials on youtube. Here’s one you might wanna watch:
