Achieving Cleaner Production through Green Productivity

AquaTreat Environmental Systems Inc. is inviting everybody to attend the “Achieving Cleaner Production through Green Productivity and Environmental Management Accounting” training course on November 19-21, 2008 at the New Horizon Hotel, EDSA near corner Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City.

This 3-day Live-Out Training Course is intended to enhance the participants’ knowledge in devising environmental management programs/projects to achieve Cleaner Production (CP) through the appropriate application of Green Productivity (GP) concepts and approaches, and, in assessing technical/environmental and economic/financial aspects of current operations vis-à-vis alternatives through the use of relevant Environmental Management Accounting (EMA) tools and techniques, such that their environmental management project proposals have better chances of being approved for implementation.

Target participants include those involved in environmental performance and compliance as well as productivity and profitability enhancement, such as production managers and engineers, environmental managers and engineers, pollution control officers (PCO), finance and management accounting officers and staff, business development and corporate planning officers, and other department managers.

The objective of the course is to develop and enhance knowledge in:

• Systems Approach to Cleaner Production: Concepts, Principles & Techniques
• Green Productivity (GP) Approaches Materials Process and Activity Flow Analysis Techniques
• Waste Prevention and Reduction Approaches and Techniques
• Environmental Management Accounting (EMA) Concepts and System of Tools
• Materials and Energy Flow Analysis Techniques
• Environmental Investment Assessments and Appraisals
• Environmental Costs Recognition, Determination and Analysis
• Environmental Performance Indicators (EPIs) and Eco- Efficiency (Eco-Effs)

to the extent that these topics relate to industrial/commercial/related operations, and, the environmental impacts and business (economic/financial) results of such operations.
